Overview

The traditional hammam and spa ritual is already one of Marrakech's best afternoons; this version takes it entirely private. A dedicated suite — your own steam room, treatment table and lounge — is reserved exclusively for you or your couple's visit, with a therapist assigned solely to your party and an extended ritual that adds a rhassoul clay wrap and a longer massage to the usual sequence. There is no shared waiting room, no overlapping bookings, and no clock running on the experience.

A standard spa hammam visit is already private in the sense that an attendant works on you alone, but you are usually one of several bookings moving through shared steam rooms and a communal relaxation lounge on the same schedule. This VIP version removes that entirely: the whole suite — its own steam room, its own treatment table, its own quiet lounge — is blocked out for your visit alone, with a single therapist dedicated to you (or to each of you, for a couple) rather than juggled between guests.

The ritual itself follows the same proven sequence — warm steam to open the pores, a full-body savon noir cleanse left to work, and the brisk kessa-glove gommage that leaves skin startlingly smooth — but run at a slower, unhurried pace since there is no next booking pressing behind you. Extra time also means the attendant can be more thorough and responsive to what you actually want, whether that is a gentler scrub or extra attention to tired shoulders and legs.

Two additions set the ritual apart. A rhassoul clay wrap — the mineral-rich clay mined from the Atlas foothills, traditionally used to cleanse and condition hair and skin — is worked over the body and left to draw out impurities before rinsing, adding a mineral-rich layer the standard ritual skips. The closing massage runs longer than the usual sequence too, giving the argan-oil work enough time to properly unwind rather than being cut short.

It closes in a private lounge rather than a shared one — your own tea service, fruit and quiet, with no other guests drifting through. The whole shape of the visit is designed for a genuine occasion: a honeymoon, an anniversary, a birthday, or simply a day when you want the very best version of Marrakech's signature ritual without sharing any part of it.
