This is a dawn-to-late-night endeavour. You climb the Tizi n'Tichka pass at first light, explore Aït Ben Haddou, then follow the Draa Valley as it unspools through date palms, kasbahs and river greenery — arguably the most beautiful stretch of the whole route.
Depending on the itinerary you reach Agdz or push on toward Zagora, with a short camel ride at the desert's edge and time among the palms before turning back. It is a taster rather than a true desert trip: the point is the journey and the scenery, not a night on the sand.
