City Experiences
Marrakech city experiences & things to do
The most memorable way to understand Marrakech — and Morocco — is to do something with your hands and your appetite. Cook a tagine in a Medina riad, graze the souks on a street-food tour, blend your own ras el hanout, visit a women's argan cooperative or sit down to the mint-tea ceremony. Here is every food and culture experience we run, grouped so you can find the right one fast.

Marrakech city experiences: common questions
What are the best city experiences to book in Marrakech?
The most loved are a hands-on cooking class in a Medina riad, a guided street-food tour that finishes in Jemaa el-Fnaa at dusk, a spice-souk market walk around Rahba Kedima, and a ras el hanout spice workshop. Beyond Marrakech we also run seafood classes on the coast, argan cooperative visits near Essaouira and Rif mountain experiences around Chefchaouen.
How much does a cooking class or food tour in Marrakech cost?
Most city experiences start from around 300–550 MAD per person (roughly 30–55 EUR). Cooking classes and food tours sit in the middle of that band, short market or spice workshops are a little cheaper, and full-day farm visits a little more. Every listing shows a realistic starting price, and final rates flex with group size, season and inclusions.
Do I need to book city experiences in advance?
A day or two ahead is usually enough, and popular cooking classes and food tours can often be arranged same-day. Book earlier in spring and autumn high season, for private sessions, and around public holidays. Message us on WhatsApp with your date and group size and we confirm availability quickly.
Are these experiences suitable for families and beginners?
Yes. Cooking classes are built for complete beginners, hosts demonstrate every step, and children are welcome — bread and pastry sessions in particular are entirely hands-on and knife-light. Vegetarian, vegan and allergy-friendly menus are standard; just tell us your needs when you book.
Where do the experiences take place and how do I find the meeting point?
Cooking classes are usually in riad kitchens down the Medina alleys, which have almost no street numbers, so we meet you at a recognisable landmark or at your riad door and walk in together. Food and market tours start at an agreed point in the souks. You get the exact meeting details when we confirm your booking.
