Common questions
Is Marrakech wheelchair-accessible?
Honestly, the medina is very difficult for wheelchairs — cobblestones, steps and narrow alleys. But Gueliz (the new city), Majorelle Gardens, most hotels and scenic drives are manageable. We focus on what works.
Can seniors do a desert experience?
Yes — but choose Agafay (45 minutes, flat terrain) over Merzouga (3-day drive). A sunset dinner in the Agafay desert involves minimal walking and maximum comfort.
What about the heat?
Visit in October-November or March-April when temperatures are moderate (22-28°C). We schedule activities in the cooler morning and evening hours.
Are there riads with lifts?
Very few traditional riads have lifts. We recommend riads or hotels with ground-floor rooms, step-free bathrooms and internal courtyards. Several luxury hotels have full wheelchair access.
